You should arrive a few minutes before your scheduled visit to get checked in. To speed things up, you can download the patient form to be completed in advance. The average time for a check up is approximately 45 minutes, but as you know working with kids can sometimes be unpredictable so times will vary.

As a courtesy for our patients with dental insurance, we will file your claim if you have provided insurance information to us. This includes the subscriber's social security number or insurance ID number, subscriber's date of birth, subscriber's employer, insurance carrier, insurance group number and a customer service telephone number. This information is typically found on your insurance ID card. We will try to be as helpful as possible in answering any of your insurance questions.
If we have received all of your insurance information on the day of the appointment, we will be happy to file your claim for you. We file all insurance electronically, so your insurance company will receive each claim within days of the treatment. We accept all dental insurances.
Payment (minus any expected insurance benefit) is expected at each appointment for services rendered and can be made by cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover or CareCredit.
Payment for each visit is requested as you leave. If for some reason you cannot make prompt payment, do discuss the matter with our office manager to make arrangements before your appointment.

Walk into our lobby where you will be greeted by our friendly staff. We will provide you with new patient paperwork that includes a health questionnaire, request for your insurance information and contact information. Your initial dental exam will take around one hour. The experienced staff at Jayne F. Scherrman JS Pediatric Dentistry will ask you questions, get to know your oral hygiene routine, and listen to your health concerns. We believe in educating patients and empowering them to make good choices to improve their oral health. We will demonstrate how to properly care for your teeth and make additional suggestions as needed. Our dental hygienist will clean your teeth then Dr. Scherrman will complete your examination and make recommendations for proposed dental treatments.
